Image
Job playing major role in life?  Whether you’ve been laid off, downsized, forced to take early retirement, or seen contract work dry up, losing your employment is one of life’s most stressful experiences. Aside from the obvious financial anguish it can cause, the stress of losing a job can also take a heavy toll on your mood, relationships, and overall mental and emotional health. Our jobs are often more than just the way we make a living. They influence how we see ourselves, as well as the way others see us. Even if you didn’t love your job, it likely provided you a social outlet and gave a structure, purpose, and meaning to your life. Suddenly finding yourself out of work can leave you feeling hurt, angry, or depressed. You might be questioning your identity, grieving all that you’ve lost, or feeling anxious about what the future holds. Depending on the circumstances of your unemployment, you may feel betrayed by your employer, powerless over the direction of your

The Importance of Failure: 5 Valuable Lessons from Failing

Image
“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.” — J.K. Rowling Why Failure is so Important Failure, as much as it hurts, is an important part of life. In fact, failure is necessary. I have failed more times than I’d like to admit. And I’m not talking about small failures; I’m talking about the kind of failures that rock your world, completely altering the landscape of your relationships, finances, and mental-wellbeing. And, if you’re anything like me, then you’ve also most likely failed many times over. I can’t say that I particularly enjoy failing, but failure, through its life-altering lessons, makes us into better persons. In fact, failure is life’s great teacher; it’s nature’s chisel that chips away at all the excess, stripping down egos as it molds and shapes us through divine intentions. Without failure, we’d be less capable of compassion

Home Gym - DIY - Workout Challenge

Image
Its all how you plan it!! Benefits of Home Gym 1. Home gyms can save time.  Daily exercise at a gym often requires a significant investment of time. In addition to the time spent on the workout, you’ll have to drive to and from the gym.  A  home gym can save you a significant amount of time commuting to the gym. You also won’t have to spend any time waiting to use gym equipment. You can use this extra time to exercise longer or free up your day.   2. Home gyms can help avoid distractions.  Commercial gyms come with a wide range of distractions. There are other people that may try to talk to you as you exercise, and it may be difficult to focus with all of the noise. With a home gym, you can stay focused on your workout by eliminating distractions. There won’t be anyone around to talk to you between sets, and you won’t be distracted by the noise of weight clanging or getting dropped on the floor.   3. Home gyms can save money.  Although gym memberships may seem like a go

Covid-19 messes up automakers BS6 pricing strategy | Struggling auto industry | Should I buy a BS6 car or an electric car in 2020?

Image
Battered by the Covid-19 outbreak and the lockdown following an economic slowdown might force auto makers to price their BS6 offering closer to the BS4 vehicles they replaced to attract buyers once the lockdown is lifted. The outbreak has worsened the auto sectors troubles in March 2020 when they were in the midst of transitioning to stricter emission norms from April 2020. Companies like Toyota, which started selling BS6 models January onwards decided not to pass on the entire BS6 price increase to customers as buying confidence was already low. For a diesel vehicle which entailed a price hike of Rs 1.5 lakh for a BS6 model, manufacturers have increased cost only up to Rs 80,000 for customers and absorbed the remaining cost of Rs 70,000 themselves. Clearly every manufacturer will have to realign BS6 pricing if the market asks for it. We need to accept reality and respond to the market either through price cuts or discounts. We know this is not sustainable. With leaders
